A unique fusion of talents

In the course of my career, I have worked closely with a large number of distinguished writers, both as editor and publisher. I have always felt fortunate to be able to match my abilities with my passion for writers and books.

In 2005 I set up my own literary agency, representing a talented and thriving list of writers, from biographers to poets, from all around the world. I'm based in the beautiful city of Edinburgh and work in close association with the Capel & Land Agency in London www.capelland.com who provide film, tv, foreign and US rights expertise to match my own editorial skills and UK-based network of publishing contacts.

From November 2007, I am offering a new and unique service to writers, irrespective of whether they have published yet or not. With my extensive background in publishing and editing, I want to give writers the opportunity to profit from straightforward, up to date, market-led advice on their work through a new venture: a literary consultancy. This service will be personally led by me, and will be marked by the attention to detail and sensitivity which are the hallmarks of my work as an editor.
