The McKernan Literary Agency & Consultancy

Next steps

Providing editorial services does not imply an undertaking to represent a writer. However, part of the reporting process involves a realistic assessment of your chances of achieving publication.

We can also offer advice about agents you might approach, and may in some circumstances recommend a writer and their work to another agent.

If suitable, we may offer to represent a writer within The McKernan Agency, under the terms and conditions explained in the agency section of the website.

In rarer instances, we might recommend a work directly to a publisher, with the writer's permission of course.

Look online, or check out The Writer's Handbook or The Writers' & Artists' Yearbook for information. You might also find the following useful: www.writewords.org.uk, www.bloomsbury.com.
